Cookies Policy

Last update: 24.11.2025

This Cookies Policy explains how we use cookies and similar technologies when you visit or use our websites (including their mobile versions) and our mobile applications (together, the “B1 Platform”).

It describes:

  • what cookies and similar technologies are;
  • which types we use and for what purposes; and
  • how you can manage and control them.

Where this Policy refers to “we”, “us” or “our”, it means B1 in its capacity as operator of the B1 Wallet platform.

Managing your cookies preferences

Our websites and mobile applications use cookies and similar technologies that you can manage in accordance with this Policy and the available settings.

When you first visit our website, only strictly necessary cookies are set by default.

If you wish to allow additional, consent-based cookies (for example, analytics or marketing cookies), you can do so through our cookie management panel, which appears when you first access the website and can be accessed later via the relevant link or icon.

You can also delete or block cookies at any time using your browser settings. However, this may affect how our website and apps function on your device.

Some similar technologies we use (such as pixel tags, JavaScript and SDKs) can be restricted via your device or browser settings. Please note that disabling these technologies may significantly impact the proper functioning of our websites, mobile sites or apps.

What are cookies?

A cookie is a small text file that a website saves on your computer or mobile device when you visit it. Cookies allow a website to:

  • recognise your device;
  • remember your actions and preferences (such as login data, language, font size and other display preferences); and
  • provide a more efficient and personalised browsing experience.

Cookies are created by the server of the website you visit. When your browser first loads the website, the site sends information to the browser, which creates a text file. Each time you return to the same site, your browser sends this file back to the website’s server. The information stored in the cookie is determined by the website server and can be used when you visit the website again.

We use cookies to:

  • help you navigate between pages efficiently;
  • remember your preferences and settings;
  • improve the overall performance, security and user experience of our websites and apps; and
  • support the display of content and advertisements that may be more relevant to your interests.

What are similar technologies?

We also use similar technologies such as pixel tags, JavaScript and software development kits (SDKs). These are small code components or graphic files containing a unique identifier that enable us, for example, to:

  • recognise when a device has accessed our websites or apps;
  • monitor how users navigate between pages or screens;
  • understand whether you have reached our websites or apps via an online advertisement on a third-party site; and
  • measure and improve site and app performance.

Information collected via cookies and similar technologies

When you visit our websites or use our apps, we may deploy cookies and similar technologies in order to:

  • adapt our online services to your device and browser;
  • prevent and detect fraud and other misuse;
  • improve security, stability and performance.

We may collect information such as:

  • device type, operating system, browser type and version, screen resolution;
  • IP address and general location (for example, city or region);
  • pages or screens visited, time spent, interactions (clicks, scrolls, navigation paths);
  • error messages, loading times and other technical diagnostics.

Many of these technologies rely on cookies to function correctly. If you choose to decline or delete certain cookies, some online services or secure areas may not function properly or may not be accessible. In some cases, we may also be unable to process certain transactions or provide services if, for example, your device appears to be located in certain countries or if required security cookies are disabled.

First-party and third-party cookies

First-party cookies are cookies set directly by us (or on our behalf) when you visit our websites or use our apps.

Third-party cookies are set by other parties (for example, analytics or advertising providers). They enable third-party features or functionalities to be provided on or through our websites or apps, such as analytics services, embedded content or targeted advertising.

The parties that set third-party cookies may recognise your device across different websites and apps.

We do not always control how third-party cookies are used. For more information about those cookies – including how the third party uses your data – please visit the relevant third-party provider’s website and privacy or cookies documentation.

Types of cookies inserted

There are different types of cookies which are usually split into the following categories, but note that not all these types will be used on our website or mobile app:

Necessary cookies

These cookies are essential for the basic functioning of our websites and apps and for enabling you to:

  • move around the site and app;
  • use core features;
  • access secure areas (for example, login-protected sections).

Without these cookies, the services you have requested cannot be provided. These cookies are activated when you visit our website or app and remain active for the duration necessary to provide the service.

Because they are strictly necessary from a technical standpoint in order to provide you with access to our sites and apps, these cookies are used without your prior consent and are always active.

Statistical cookies / Third-party cookies

These cookies collect information about how visitors use our websites and apps, for example:

  • which pages or screens are visited most often;
  • how users navigate through the site or app;
  • whether users encounter error messages.

We use this aggregated and anonymised information to:

  • understand how our websites and apps are used;
  • improve their structure, content and performance;
  • identify general trends and areas where users may have specific needs or interests.

These cookies are typically based on our legitimate interests in improving and managing our services. Where required by law, we will only use them with your consent, which you can give or withdraw via the cookie management panel.

Functionality cookies

Functionality cookies allow our websites and apps to:

  • remember the choices you make (such as your username, language or region);
  • remember changes you make to text size, fonts or other customisable elements;
  • provide enhanced, more personal features.

The information collected by these cookies may be anonymised and is not used to track your browsing activity on other websites.

These cookies help us provide you with the full functionality of our websites and apps and are generally based on your consent, which you may withdraw at any time through the cookie management panel or your browser settings.

Marketing cookies

Marketing cookies (including certain third-party cookies) are used to:

  • collect information about how you use this and other websites or apps;
  • build a profile of your interests;
  • show you content or advertisements that are more relevant and attractive to you, both on our websites or apps and on third-party sites.

These cookies are only used with your explicit, revocable consent. If you do not consent, you will still see advertisements, but they may be less relevant to your interests.

You can withdraw your consent for marketing cookies at any time using our cookie management panel or your browser settings.

How to control and delete cookies through your browser

The ability to disable or delete cookies can also be carried out by changing your browser’s settings or you can use the managing panel (which loads when opening the websites). In order to do this, follow the instructions provided by your browser (usually found in the “Help”, “Edit” or “Tools” section).

Some pages may not work if you completely disable all cookies, but many third-party cookies can be safely blocked. If you switch off cookies at browser level, your device will not be able to accept cookies from any website. This means you may struggle to access secure areas of websites and you may not enjoy the best browsing experience.

Updates to this Cookies Policy

We may update this Cookies Policy from time to time, for example to reflect:

  • changes in the cookies and similar technologies we use;
  • changes in our services; or
  • updates in legal or regulatory requirements.

We will post the updated Policy on our website and indicate the “Last update” date at the top. Where required by law, we will also seek your consent again for certain categories of cookies after significant changes.
